My name is Johanna and I grew up in Germany. I was introduced to crocheting and knitting in elementary school but didn’t really pick it up until I moved to the US to finish my Master’s degree in Chemistry. A coworker of mine (thank you Bess!) mentioned that she was knitting a baby blanket and I thought to myself “That could be something I would enjoy, too”.

So I got crochet hooks and I taught myself by watching youtube videos and just trying it out until I was happy - which can take a while since I can’t unsee mistakes, lol.

I started knitting a few years later and never looked back. I still crochet on occasion but knitting is definitely my passion now.

My favorite thing is to “knitflix” or “knitible”.

I’ve started designing my own knit and crochet patterns not that long ago after helping several designers with their new patterns by test-knitting and test-crocheting.

Turns out I have a keen eye for detail and enjoy checking patterns for the numbers, correct measurements, and mistakes in general. From there tech-editing wasn't that far away.

So here I am, ready to take on new clients that need their patterns and new designs tech edited!
